 Carriage Rides Country Carriages (760)765-1471. Around Julian. See the carriages usually parked outside the Julian Drug Store and/or kittycorner from the Drug Store. The buckets of water are for the horses. They have special romantic sunset rides.

Eagle & High Peak Mines,(760)765-0036, P. O. Box 624, Julian, CA 92036. Tour this 1870 era hard rock gold mine. Drive out "C" Street about 1/4 of a mile. Go down inside the mine tunnels. See authentic tools, machinery, trucks and cars. Rock and mineral Display. Gold panning demonstration. They have Picnic Area, restrooms. Cameras okay. Special arrangements can be made for groups.

Grosskopf House. 2811 Washington Street, beside the Julian Pioneer Museum. We have rebuilt the home of the Grosskopf's, early Julian Blacksmith. You can walk around the outside looking in the windows and view the antique furnishings.

Julian Pioneer Museum, (760)765-0227, 2811 Washington, April to November opened daily except Monday, December to March opened weekends and holidays, 10:00 to 4:00, Admission by donation Adults: $2.00, Children Age 8 to 18 $1.00, under 7: Free.This museum is located in what was once a blacksmith's shop. Now it has displays of indian, pioneer, and gold rush times. They have the largest collection of laces in California. If you look up you will see several stuffed animals, ask the ladies incharge, they each have their own names. Large collection of tools. Lovely display of old clothes.
