There is no such thing as cheap lodging in Julian. The least expensive places will be found under Homey and Roughing It. Beds are Queen sized for most Lodging.
TV without cable or satellite is very bad. If they only have antenna listed for TV don't count on much. There is a Video Rental place in town and many places have a selection of tapes.
We are in the country. With wild life only a few feet from any door, even the best kept Bed and Breakfast may surprise you with a mouse or spider in your room.
The entire town fills up on Holiday weekends. Make reservations weeks in advance. Conversely there are many openings on Weekdays. Many places require two or three days minimum on holidays and/or weekends. There is no real off season in Julian but things slow down some on winter days, when there is no snow, and in the spring.
