Drive time from Downtown San Diego 1 1/2 hours
Take Highway 8 East to Japatul / Julian off ramp. Turn left to go under bridge. Go through the town of Descanso. About 1 or 2 miles after there is a Lefthand turn to Julian (straight ahead goes to Pine Hills. After making the Left (Highway 79) continue on this road for about 1/2 hour until you come to a T intersection turn left into Julian.
