Take any Los Angeles Freeway East until you come to Highway 15. Take 15 South to Temecula. Take 79 East under overpass. Stay on 79 through Warner Springs, passed Lake Henshaw until Santa Ysabel. At the stop sign in Santa Ysabel take a left hand turn 7 miles up the Highway (this is 78 and 79 combined) is Julian. Time for travel is 4 hours from downtown Los Angeles. Yes 4 HOURS. It takes two hours just to get out of Los Angeles. Figure 1 1/2 hours from Temecula.
