Where Julian Locals drive to see the best Fall colors.
From Santa Ysabel turn Left at Tom's Chicken Shack, Wynola Rd.
(Warning this is not a road for large RV). Take Wynola Rd. until
the four way intersection with Farmer's Rd. Turn right onto Farmer's
Rd. this will take you into Julian. At the corner of Washington
and Main turn Left going up hill on Washington. Turn right at
Second Street. Go two blocks and turn right on C Street. When
you get back to Main Street Turn Left and continue out of town.
Take Highway 79 to Lake Cuyamaca. The best colors are before
the Cuyamaca Rancho Park Headquarters so you can turn around
there and see the colors from the other direction, reversing
the above route. They really do look different coming from the
other direction.
